So Grateful

Here's a nice card for the Fall Season and Thanksgiving.  It uses the "So Grateful" stamp set and the Dreamin' paper.  I've used Dreamin' for several of my scrapbooking layouts, but using it with the fall themed stamp set makes it look entirely different.

The New & Very Desirable...

Of all the great new items in the Idea Book & Catalog, I think one of the most popular is the new Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge bundle.  It's so popular, in fact, that it's now on backorder.  Never fear!  There are more on the way, but temporarily it's unavailable.

If you haven't purchased it, but are thinking about it, it is a very versatile bundle.  The kit comes with coordinating stamp sets, but it the cartridge also has shapes that coordinate with other sets.  Here is a list:

Here are the ones that are marked in the Idea Book (does not include 3 included in the Cricut Bundle):

C1464-Blue Ribbon - p. 17
D1481-Vintage Type - p. 18
D1482-Love - p. 29
B1391-Zoology - p. 30
C1463-Harvest Happiness - p. 35
C1465-Unscripted - p. 36
C1467-Sweet Moments - p. 41
B1392-Key Moments - p. 42
D1490-Backdrop-Charmed - p. 47
C1462-All Hallows Eve - p. 48
D1494-Christmas Cheer - p. 53
B1390-Countdown - p. 54
D1480-Snowflakes - p. 59
B1381 Holiday Cheer - p. 76
A1115-A Holiday - p. 76
D1493-Fill in the Blank - Holiday - p. 79
D1491-Hooray Bouquet - p. 86
C1469-December 25th - p. 102

SOTM's that coordinate:
S1109 Limited Edition-Sep SOM - p. 140
S1111 Cherish the Day-Nov SOM - p.142
S1112 Mad About You-Dec SOM - p. 143
S1201 Little Reminder-Jan SOM - p.144

Workshops on the Go:
Typeset - p. 19
Elemental- p. 31

And there are so many sentiments and images that can be stamped onto another shape...this is truly a versatile cartridge.

A note of thanks

I love the internet because it allows me to reach customers who live in other states.  When I receive an online order, I do send a thank you note to show my appreciation.  Here is a note I made today from the  new Typeset B&T paper.  I can't express how happy I am with the new weight of our patterned papers.  It's nice to work with something that feels like a nice cardstock.  In addition to the card, I made my customer a coordinating post-it-note holder.  I liked it so much, I really wish I had ordered more of that paper... hmm... perhaps I'll order some more!  lol

It's the friendships that make a difference

Being a Close to My Heart consultant isn't just about holding gatherings or classes.  It isn't just about being creative and making cards and scrapbooking pages either.  Granted these are part of the "job", but my favorite part are the relationships that are built through the company.  This is me with my friend, Patti.  I never would have met Patti had it not been for Close to My Heart.  I met her at a downline meeting and we instantly hit it off.  She is awesome and I'm SO glad she's now one of my friends.

It's not too late

There are still a few days for you to order the July Stamp of the Month set.  Personally, I love this set!  It's not only great for patriotic holidays, but many of the images can be used year-round.  This stamp set retails for $22.95, but you can buy it at a reduced cost with a minimum purchase.  For example, spend $50 and you can buy it for only $11.48.  However, you can also get it for FREE!  (We all love freebies, right?)  If you place an order of $100 between now and Sunday, July 31st, you can add this set to your order at no cost.  Combine this with the July promotion (More Bang for a Buck) and you get another deal on top of this one!

Heat Embossing

I tried a different technique today.  I stamped my image on vellum with VersaMark ink and used White Daisy embossing powder on top.  It's tricky because if you hold the heat on the vellum too long, it will burn.  I didn't burn it but I did have a little warping.  Anyway, I punched a circle out of my card and placed the vellum image in the circle.  I put a B&T paper behind it to show a little color.  Then I stamped images with White Daisy Pigment inks.  Next time I'm going to reverse the colors and put the light color on top and the darker one behind the vellum circle so it will stand out more, but I thought I'd share my experimentation.  Happy Crafting!

You & Me: Not just for scrapbooks!

There is still time to take advantage of the You & Me promotion.  It's a great deal for you and a great way to help those who are struggling to recover from the natural disasters we've had in our country lately.  You and me is great for scrapbooking, but it can also make some beautiful cards.  I made these cards with the kit.  The only thing I added was a different ribbon because I thought the other one was too wide for my project.

Silly Birthday

This is a silly birthday card that happened by accident.  I was making the card and I grabbed the wrong sentiment.  It should have said "Hip Hip Hooray, It's your Birthday" but instead it's "Hip Hip Hooray, I didn't forget your Birthday!"  lol  I'm still sending it even though it's an oops kind of card, but you know sometimes those are the best kind.  I have 2 friends with birthdays this week, so this card will go to Robin and I'll post another one in a few days for Anne.
